Designed by Pete Dye, Bobby Weed, and player consultant Jerry Pate, the Valley Course is the "younger brother" of the famous Stadium Course. The TPC Valley Course at Sawgrass is one of the top courses you can play in Northeast Florida, and has been accredited with being one of the "Top 10 PGA Courses You Can Play" by Golf Magazine in 1998.
The course was originally designed for the Champions Tour. The 6,864 yard par 72 course was the second to be built at TPC Sawgrass and was finished in 1987.
The Valley Course is a bit milder than the Stadium Course, but it has more undulation in the fairways. There are water hazards that come into play on every hole, with large sweeping putting greens.
To play well at the Valley Course you will need to make accurate shots while you fight the winds from the Atlantic Ocean which is one mile away from the course.
Finished in 1987, the golf course has hosted events such as the SENIOR PLAYERS Championship, the NFL Golf Classic, and the final stage of Senior Qualifying School.
