I've played nearly 500 courses, including 3 U.S. open venues in the last 12 months. I have some perspective. I've written lots of course reviews right here and I've never given straight 10s before. I've walked Pine Valley for years during the Crump Cup, never dreaming that I might play there someday. Out of the blue comes the invite and now when I walk the Crump Cup, I'll remember where every shot landed. It's that good! Our host asked two basic questions so let me give you the answers. Yes! This place lives up to the hype! ... and the second hole was my favorite though the 5th is scariest and the 8th may be the best short 4 in the world and the 14th may be the best inland par 4 in the world and the 15th ate me alive and I birdied 18 but that second... without equal on a course without an equal!

Great experience. I was lucky enough to stay for three days in the dorms. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was second to none. If you are looking for a plush over the top clubhouse and all the frills you won t find it here. If you are looking for the true lifetime golf experience that you will find. I have played all the major golf courses including Whistling Straits, Pinehurst, Sawgrass, Pelican Hill, Muirfield, etc. and none has the feel and quality of true golf like Pine Valley. A true golfer will never be the same after playing this course.
